not an add-on to the wii
One of the reasons that the Wii U is selling poorly is that the name leads some to believe that it's just a very expensive add-on to the Wii, which pushed many consumers away. Of course, if you're reading this, you most likely are aware that it isn't. This site is in no way sponsored by Nintendo, but I do recommend you pick one up if you could.
The Wii U launched in 2012 with a plethora of launch games, which I don't plan on listing all of, but a few notable ones are Nintendo Land and New Super Mario Bros. U, being the first time that a New Super Mario Bros. game is a launch title, which you think would be the case with the 3DS, as they always sell better than the 3D Mario games, yet they didn't, but I digress.
